Osaka Castle (Chuo-ku)
"Osaka castle" is of course known as a symbol of Osaka.
This castle was built by Hideyoshi Toyotomi as his base for the unite of the whole country. They exhibits the historical records of Sengoku period and dioramas of Hideyoshi's life to present the history of the castle.

Kishiwada Castle (Kishiwada City)
This is a castle in Kishiwada city.
It is located on the top of the Ibuseyama mountain, and the Kishiki shrine inside is known as a shrine worships the god of marriage.
This place becomes a popular as a picnic spot during the cherry blossom season and has designated as one of Osaka top 100 green sceneries.

Ikeda Castle (Ikeda City)
"Ikeda castle" is located to north of Hankyu Ikeda station.
From the view spot on top of Yagura(a turret)-style resting space, not only the city scape of Ikeda and the park but also the Shin-Inagawa-Ohashi(a great bridge as known as a big harp) across Hanshin highway can be seen clearly.
No admission fees are charged and all the facilities and buildings are open freely.

Moriguchi Castle (Moriguchi City)
Here is the next castle, "Moriguchi castle".
This is a mysterious castle with a trade mark Nansyuji temple. When has it built? Who built it? So many things are still unproved about this one.
No parks or facilities are adjusted to this castle. So please have a look around from outside.
There is a place where Edogawa Rampo, a famous Japanese author and critic, used to live. It is a nice historical place to walk around.

Shinsekai Castle (Shinsekai Area, Tennoji-ku)
Lastly, we will introduce a castle, but not a castle called "Shinsekai castle".
This name only derives from the location Shinsekai, so even Osaka local people cannot tell if there was a castle.
To be precise, this is NOT a castle although it does look like one.
This is what we call a fashion hotel, "Hotel Daigo".
Be careful that this is not an actual castle, but it is interesting to have a look if you are in Shinsekai area.
